 Join the Island Experience

Set on Robben Island, the African Centurion is a rich, affecting journey through the most famous exemplar of South Africa’s brutal yet triumphant recent history.

It all starts the moment you set foot on the ferry to the island: on arrival, you’ll get a welcome pack and a tour of the infamous prison complex before the walk gets going at 12 pm. Twenty-four hours of walking will take you through an incredibly rare opportunity to spend a night on the island. When the ferry makes for Cape Town at 2 pm the next day, you’ll leave knowing you were part of something truly special.

The event extends far beyond the walk, too, with massage stations, food, entertainment and way more to keep supporters feeling like the honoured guests they are.
