Situated at the quayside of Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, where the Atlantic ocean meets the mother city, you’ll find Den Anker Belgian Restuarant. The setting is breath taking, with Table Mountain in the background, seagulls flying by, seals basking in the sun and passing yachts enhancing the view and sense of freedom while you enjoy the delicious food.
Not only is Den Anker know for their exquisite and superb menu, but also their philanthropy. This is what they had to say…
“We have always believed in ‘putting something back’ into the community by helping the less privileged through sponsorship and hands-on involvement. We support Elundini in Du Noon with their monthly grocery needs – this project supports people from their local community with disabilities.
The Bumble Bee Fund is an organization that provides mobility equipment for ‘differently-abled’ children. We sponsor cycle gear for their team of cyclists riding the Cape Argus, Pick n Pay Cycle Tour each year. We have been involved with this project for the past 3 years and the team is growing in number year on year. We began in 2011 with 36 cyclists riding to raise funds for a wheelchair and have grown to 120 in 2012. For 2013 there are over 200 riders signed up to support this awesome charity and we are very proud be able to play a small role in improving the lives of young people who face challenges on a daily basis”.
This year, they have come on board as a sponsor for #AfricanCenturion2018, and we are most grateful for their participation! For more information about Den Anker and to view their spectacular menu, location, Belgian beer offerings and superb service, please visit www.denanker.co.za
